Field Trip Information
To: Lake Jackson Mounds Archeological State Park, 3600 Indian Mounds Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32303
Date: Wednesday, October 25, 2006
Time: Leave school at 9:30 a.m., Return at 1:30 p.m.
Dress: Students must wear long pants, closed walking shoes and socks.
Lunch: All students should bring a bag lunch and a large bottle of water. There will not be a cooler to put lunches in.
Activity: Judy Ludlow, Biologist with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Invasive Plant Management, will lead all Mrs. Beck's students, grades 2 - 5, in a field trip to discover, identify and take samples of invasive exotic species.
We will work with Ms. Ludlow from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., have lunch at the park's picnic area from 12:00 - 12:30, review what we learned and collected from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m., then return to school.
PARENTS:
Please print and complete the following field trip permission form and send it to Mrs. Beck with your child next Wednesday. We need at least five parents to chaperone this field trip; please volunteer if you can.
